NJ/NY GOTHAM FC Y SPORTS DATA CAMPUS: FUSIONANDO EL POTENCIAL DEPORTIVO CON LA EXCELENCIA TECNOLÓGICA
Este año, el club ganó el Campeonato NWSL, el primer título en la historia de la institución. Logro alcanzado por todo el equipo y el cuerpo técnico encabezado por el entrenador español Juan Carlos Amorós, junto al cuerpo técnico integrado por Yael Averbuch, General Manager and Head of Soccer Operations; Jen Lalor, Assistant Coach; Shaun Harris, Assistant Coach; Ak Lakhani, Assistant Coach; Adrián Benítez Jiménez, Strength and Conditioning Coach; Phillip Congleton, Head of Sports Science; Brody Sams, Goalkeeper Coach; Jesús Botello Hermosa, Head of Tactical Analysis y Erin Morton, Head of Medical.
Además del campeonato obtenido, cabe destacar que Juan Carlos Amorós fue elegido como el mejor entrenador de la temporada. Mientras que la defensora del Gotham FC, Jenna Nighswonger, fue nombrada como Novata del Año.
ACUERDO DE COLABORACIÓN CON EL NJ/NY GOTHAM FC
A través de nuestro Departamento de Extensión Profesional, el NJ/NY Gotham FC se nutrirá de la experiencia y conocimientos de nuestros estudiantes especializados en analítica avanzada e inteligencia artificial. El objetivo principal será poder sumar y ayudar al cuerpo técnico en cuestiones relacionadas con análisis de contextos, entorno competitivo, análisis de equipo propio de rivales, performance físico y potenciar el rendimiento del equipo, contribuyendo de manera significativa al desarrollo estratégico integral del club.
Adicionalmente, se proporcionarán recursos especializados que permitirán al club colaborar de manera complementaria con otras áreas institucionales que así lo requieran. Este enfoque integrado impulsará metodologías de trabajo innovadoras, respaldadas por tecnologías que potenciarán la labor del club en su conjunto.
Además de la participación activa de los profesionales de los Másteres de Sports Data Campus, como parte integral de esta alianza, tanto Jesús Botello Hermosa, una referencia mundial en lo que al mundo del análisis de fútbol se refiere, como parte del cuerpo técnico del NJ/NY Gotham FC impartirá varias sesiones formativas, a través de MasterClass, a todos los estudiantes de ediciones activas de nuestro Campus. Durante esta sesión, compartirán su experiencia para que los alumnos comprendan la importancia del éxito alcanzado del Gotham FC y su contexto basado en el estilo de juego denominado «Caos Organizado» recogido en sus libros y en una metodología única (datos, ajedrez y roles tácticos).
La alianza con el Gotham FC no solo refuerza el ecosistema de colaboradores actual, sino que también abre la posibilidad de explorar nuevas sinergias que puedan surgir a lo largo de nuestro vínculo. Esto permite una adaptación flexible a las oportunidades emergentes, promoviendo una relación dinámica y beneficiosa para ambas partes en aras de incorporar la analítica y el aprovechamiento del dato dentro de los procesos deportivos esenciales en la vida de un club profesional.

Con sede en Nueva Jersey, el Gotham FC juega sus partidos en casa de la Liga Nacional de Fútbol Femenino en el Red Bull Arena en Harrison, Nueva Jersey. El club ha sido parte de la NWSL desde su creación en 2012. Sky Blue FC se fundó originalmente en 2007 cuando hizo su debut como Jersey Sky Blue en la W-League of United Soccer Leagues.

At the same time, this step will allow Sports Data Campus students to contribute and work side by side with the club’s coaching staff within its analytical ecosystem, thus maintaining a constant and differentiating innovation in the competitive environment of women’s football.
This year, the club won the NWSL Championship, the first title in the history of the institution. In addition to the championship, Juan Carlos Amorós was voted the best coach of the season. Gotham FC defender Jenna Nighswonger was named Rookie of the Year.
PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH NJ/NY GOTHAM FC
Through our Professional Extension Department, NJ/NY Gotham FC will benefit from the experience and expertise of our students specialising in advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. The main objective will be to be able to add and assist the coaching staff in issues related to context analysis, competitive environment, own team analysis of opponents, physical performance and enhance the team’s performance, contributing significantly to the overall strategic development of the club.
In addition, specialised resources will be provided to enable the club to collaborate in a complementary manner with other institutional areas as required. This integrated approach will foster innovative working methodologies, supported by technologies that will enhance the work of the club as a whole.
In addition to the active participation of the professionals of the Sports Data Campus Masters, as an integral part of this alliance, both Jesús Botello Hermosa, a world reference in the world of football analysis, and part of the coaching staff of NJ/NY Gotham FC will give several training sessions, through MasterClass, to all the students of active editions of our Campus. During this sessions, they will share their experience so that the students understand the importance of the success achieved by Gotham FC and its context based on the style of play called «Organised Chaos», as described in his books, and on a unique methodology (data, chess and tactical roles).
The partnership with Gotham FC not only strengthens the existing partner ecosystem, but also opens up the possibility to explore new synergies that may arise throughout our relationship. This allows for flexible adaptation to emerging opportunities, fostering a dynamic and mutually beneficial relationship to incorporate analytics and data leverage into the core sporting processes essential to the life of a professional club.

Based in New Jersey, Gotham FC plays its National Women’s Soccer League home matches at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The Club has been part of the NWSL since its foundation in 2012. Sky Blue FC was originally founded in 2007 when it made its debut as Jersey Sky Blue in the W-League of United Soccer Leagues.
In April 2021, Sky Blue FC made a big change with a new brand identity for the team, which became NJ/NY Gotham FC. The name, logo and colours were selected after extensive fan input and will guide the club into the future with bold international ambitions.
