Madrid, 27 January 2023 – After the success of the previous editions, this year returns with an enriched proposal, one of the most exclusive events with the main protagonists of the World Sports Big Data aimed at all fans, professionals and lovers of data and sport: the Sports Data Forum 23.
The Sports Data Forum 23, jointly organised with Sevilla FC and UCAM, will have Hudl, the world’s leading performance analytics company that works with sports teams at all levels and from all over the world, as main sponsor, with 6 million users, 160 thousand global clients and more than 2,600 elite teams using Hudl’s video and data tools. The on-site opening session will take place on 24 March, and can be experienced live from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium (Seville), in a day with more than 9 hours of round tables, talks, presentations, among other events. More than 70 speakers and experts from the sports industry and technology will share their experiences and knowledge with attendees. The opening of the event can be accessed online or in person, while the rest of the days, all sessions will be online.
The Sports Data Forum 23 will start at 9.30 am, with the «Opening and Welcome Session» with the participation of: José María Cruz Gallardo, Head of R+D+i Football at Sevilla FC; David R. Sáez Ávila, CEO at Sports Data Campus; José Luis Mendoza García, Director of Institutional Relations at UCAM and Miguel A. del Barrio Rodríguez, Director of Programmes at Sports Data Campus.

As every year we will count on the presence of the most prestigious professionals in the world of football such as Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo «Monchi», General Sporting Director at Sevilla FC in charge of the «Closing Master Session», and Víctor Orta, Leeds United Sporting Director, who will be in charge of the «Welcome Master Session».
On the first day of the event, there will be presentations from different companies and institutions such as LaLiga – Mediacoach, where Fabio Nevado, Technical Football Analyst at Mediacoach – LaLiga, will give a presentation. After the break will come the Round Table, «Professional Analysts», with the participation of Jesús Olivera, Head of Data Football Sevilla FC; Miguel Almeida Ferreira, Analyst of the first team at Sporting Club de Portugal; José Rodríguez, Data Analyst at Aston Villa FC, and Pablo Sanzol, Head of Data Analysis at SD Eibar.
«Trends on Big Data and AI in football» will be carried out by Raúl Peláez, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Ailite; David Fombella, BI Consultant at Stratebi; Javier Fernández. Zelus Analytics (Ex Barça Innovation Hub); Javier Buldú, Director of the Complex Systems Group at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, and Javier Fernández, Data Scientist at Piperlab.
In addition, in the afternoon there will be parallel sessions in different scenarios. It should be noted that our CEO, David R. Sáez, and Sara Carmona, Chief Data Editor at Relay will be the moderators of the roundtables.
The rest of the Sports Data Forum 23 sessions will be presented in online format, and will cover the entire global perspective of the world of data and sport from multiple perspectives, with sessions during the following months such as: Big Data and Sports Management; AI applied to Sport; Digital Transformation and Innovation in Football Clubs; Data Ecosystems in Women’s Football; Big Data and Basketball; Big Data and Handball; Technological Entrepreneurship in the World of Sport; Elite Professional Analysts; English Session: Professional Analysts; Session in Portuguese: Analistas Profissionais and at the closing, on 19 June, the Alumni Day.
REGISTRATION
This year, there are four possible ways to register for SDF23, depending on what you want to add and whether you want to attend in person or online. Very important: tickets are limited.
With the on-site tickets, you will be able to access the Welcome Pack for attendees, you will have the possibility to participate in all the promotions that take place during the event, and you will have the option to choose 2 afternoon sessions. In addition, they will have live access to all the online sessions of the SDF23, to the recordings of all the sessions of the SDF23 and SDF22, as well as certificates of attendance, both in the morning and in each of the afternoon sessions, and a certificate of attendance for each of the 12 online sessions of the SDF23. They will also have the option of attending the Face to face course «Introduction to Advanced Analytics in Football» or «Fundamentals of Advanced Analytics in Football and creation of dashboards», on 23.03.23 (from 16 to 20h.) at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
As for the online tickets, you will have access via streaming to the sessions at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium. Option to choose 2 sessions via streaming from among all the afternoon sessions on the 24th. In addition, live access to all SDF23 online sessions, and to the recordings of all SDF23 and SDF22 sessions. You will receive certificates of attendance online, both for the morning session and for each of the afternoon sessions, and a certificate of attendance for each of the 12 online sessions of SDF23, and of course, you will be able to be part of our community of data and sport professionals.
