On July 14, the finals of the Euro Cup were played between Spain and England, and the Copa America 2024, between Argentina and Colombia, leaving extraordinary moments in the history of football. These competitions were the subject of an exhaustive data analysis by the students of Sports Data Campus, in collaboration with SICS, a leading Advanced Data Analytics company. Throughout the project, 83 matches were analyzed, over 200 infographics were produced, and 350 pages of analysis were generated in three languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

The alliance between Sports Data Campus and SICS was fundamental in carrying out this ambitious project. SICS provided a package of advanced statistics that students from various master’s programs used to perform detailed and real-time analysis of both tournaments. This collaboration not only enhanced the practical learning of the students but also offered the public a deeper and more accurate understanding of football events.
During the Euro Cup and Copa America 2024, students from program ‘MSc Data Analytics in Football’ such as the applied their knowledge to offer exhaustive analyses. These analyses were shared through the Sports Data Campus blog, social media, and their informative newsletter, covering a variety of topics and metrics, which improved the understanding and enjoyment of the game for a global audience.
